Last week the Great Outdoors in Cherryville had their two big days of spring sale! Hundreds poured into the store for the big two day event. The Great Outdoors gave away many prizes including a Benell Nova 12 gauge shotgun. Pictured are the winners, Vickie Orr and Cliff Black of Cherryville.
The Deer Have Calendars Too!

Alot of hunters and some non-hunters or wildlife lovers are now using trail cams to capture photos of deer and other animals lurking close to their homes and properties. This gives hunters a fairly good idea of the number of deer in their local herd and folks are seeing more and more deer inside the city limits.
Here are a couple of bucks enjoying city living. A good friend sent this photo to my email. It seems these two are homesteading a block of woods next door to a local high school. These boys and a harem of does are seen in more than 60 photos on his trail cam. These pictures were taken in mid January.
It seems that deer are coming out of hiding since deer season is over. Alot of folks are reporting seeing deer all hours of the day now.
